Kids Raise Money to Support Bible Ministry

The Clubhouse, Jr. Bibles for Soldiers Challenge encourages 4 to 8-year-olds to support the ABS Armed Services Ministry

This summer, the American Bible Society is partnering with Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse, Jr. magazine to encourage young readers to support the Bible cause.

Clubhouse, Jr. is a magazine and web site for kids that reinforces traditional values and encourages families to take on activities to support worthy causes. The latest issue of Clubhouse, Jr. challenges its 88,000 readers, ages 4 to 8, to raise money to support the Armed Services Ministry of the American Bible Society.

A special Truth for Troops web site provides a fun venue for kids to get fundraising project ideas. Project ideas include washing cars, selling lemonade and doing yard work.

Between June 15 and August 31, children can make a donation to the Bible Society, with their parents’ help, to provide soldiers or veterans with Bibles. In addition to fundraising projects, the site also offers a card to print, color and send, and a special kids’ prayer for American troops.

“One of our goals at Focus is to instill in children a love for God’s Word, and this is a hands-on way of doing so,” said Focus President and CEO Jim Daly. “We are proud to partner with American Bible Society in bringing hope to those who bravely serve our country.”

The Truth for Troops web site helps acquaint youngsters with the importance of Scripture and sharing its life-changing message with those in need.

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
