Bible App Announces ‘Verse of the Year’

Romans 12:2 was most highlighted and shared by users in 2014

The Bible App has announced that Romans 12:2 is the verse most shared, highlighted, and bookmarked by its users in 2014. Users of the app, which available at no cost on all mobile platforms, shared Bible passages nearly 69 million times—that’s about two verses per second.

The most shared verse reads: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2 ESV). Here’s praying that all those millions who shared this verse will find practical ways to live it out!

The Bible App is produced by YouVersion, an American Bible Society ministry partner, and is currently installed on 162 million devices worldwide. The Bible App is the largest user of the Digital Bible Library and currently provides access to more than 1050 versions of the Bible in 740 languages (adding access to 350 versions in 2014 alone).
