“Together with the entire American Bible Society family, I offer sincere thanks to God for the life and ministry of the Rev. Billy Graham. Through his remarkable ministry, Mr. Graham introduced countless millions to the life-changing message of the Bible. His passion for Scripture was contagious.

“For decades, American Bible Society was privileged to work with Mr. Graham to provide portions of Scripture for those attending his crusades. At the same time, Mr. Graham was a great source of wisdom and inspiration for developing materials and strategies to increase Bible engagement.

“I offer my condolences to the Graham family and pray the Lord will comfort them as they grieve Mr. Graham’s passing.

“In the days ahead, we will undoubtedly—and appropriately—hear the words of Matthew 25:21 quoted frequently regarding Mr. Graham’s passing: ‘Well done my good and faithful servant.’ Today I rejoice in the thought that Mr. Graham is hearing those words from the Lord himself.”
