Good News from the Hills of Rwanda

Pray for Rwandans to worship the one true living God

Rwanda is known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Home to beautiful rolling hills and several mountain ranges, this nation’s landscape is one of the most beautiful in the world. Among the hills, Rwandans make their home, raise children, and plant crops. Yet among some of these hills exists a pervading darkness. False gods are worshiped and witchcraft is practiced.

But today, God’s light is breaking through.

Since 2018, a ministry called End-to-End began spreading the Gospel in remote areas of Rwanda. End-to-End is a multi-part ministry that begins by showing the JESUS film in remote communities with low literacy rates, limited resources, and few churches. This is followed by audio Bible listening groups in the local language, Scripture provision, and new churches planted in areas where there is no existing church.

Lives Transformed by the Power of God’s Word

As Rwandans hear and see God’s Word in their own language, it is having a transformative impact on their lives. Many are turning away from false gods and giving their lives to Jesus! They are serving the God of the Bible. We thank God for what he is doing in Rwanda. Here are some of the highlights:

  • 42,000 new believers
  • 61 new churches
  • 1,127 people trained to do evangelism and discipleship
  • 384 listening groups formed
  • 3,596 Bibles distributed

“When they come to Christ, they bring all of the items they used to practice divination and to gain supernatural power, handing them over to the pastor to be destroyed,” said a local pastor. One woman who was a former witchdoctor came to Christ after her family began attending a listening group. Jesus is transforming lives!

On those hills, where Rwandans once worshipped false gods, they are now worshipping the one true living God. Will you join us in praying for more Rwandans to embrace the truth found in God’s Word?

Pray for:

  • Ministry Impact. Pray that God’s Word will continue to spread to some of the most remote areas in Rwanda. Pray for new believers, church plants, and changed lives.
  • New Believers. Pray for all the people who are meeting God for the first time through his Word. Ask God to give them one pure and holy passion to follow hard after him.
  • Workers. Ask God to guide and protect ministry workers who are in the field sharing God’s Word with those who need it. Pray for zeal to continue working for God’s kingdom.
