Helping Others Find a Way Out of Trauma

Bible-based trauma healing brings healing to those suffering with deep heart wounds

When my dear friend Anabelle lost her mother suddenly, her world was shaken to the core. Anabelle couldn’t eat, sleep, or stop crying. Despair seemed to overwhelm her constantly. Seemingly peaceful moments were interrupted by waves of grief that sent Anabelle spiraling into depression for days. There was no escaping the pain.

That is trauma.

Trauma can cause deep and lasting suffering. It acts as a barrier, blocking out hope. People who suffer trauma are unable to receive God’s words of comfort.

This is true for people who experience painful events such as the death of a loved one, natural disaster, war, illness, abuse, injury, or abandonment. In fact, this is true for approximately 13 percent of people in the world.

But there is a way out of trauma.

Bible-Based Trauma Healing Ministry

The Bible reminds us of God’s power to heal broken hearts and restore hope. Psalm 147:3 (GNT) says, “He heals the broken-hearted and bandages their wounds.” God knows when we hurt. And he wants to comfort us. But to experience God’s healing, the barrier of trauma needs to be removed.

Bible-based trauma healing was created to help traumatized individuals recover from trauma and connect with God. This ministry equips churches and ministries to help hurting people like my friend Anabelle connect with the Father’s love. Using Bible-based curriculum, these churches and ministries lead healing groups designed to help victims heal from their trauma.

Since launching in 2010, 45 Bible Societies around the world now offer trauma healing to traumatized people in their countries. Through their work, 54,815 churches and organizations have been trained to lead healing groups and are already providing hope to those who need it.

And God is healing hearts around the world! In nations like Syria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, El Salvador, India, and Iraq, people are being set free from the prison of pain. Our prayer is that God’s Word will continue to bring healing to hurting people across the globe. Will you pray with us?

Let’s Pray Together

God, thank you for healing lives. We pray that trauma healing ministry will continue to be used in churches and ministries around the world to introduce the healing power of Scripture to those suffering from deep heart wounds.
