Prayer Request: God’s Word for Service Members, Veterans and Military Families
Pray for military communities to encounter the peace found in God’s Word through new, innovative Bible resources
Active duty Service members and veterans often struggle with spiritual and emotional injuries as a result of their service in the military. This can lead to feelings of fear, anger, depression, hopelessness, and grief.
Their families have unique struggles as well, from learning to cope with loneliness and extra responsibilities while a loved one is deployed to helping their family member find healing when he or she comes home.
But God’s Word offers hope. That’s why American Bible Society’s Armed Services Ministry offers Bible engagement resources to help Military members, veterans and their families deal with current and past stresses of military life.
Please join us in praying that the Bible engagement resources (listed below) will have a great impact as God meets service members, veterans and military families in powerful ways.
- Military Bible Challenge is a website and app designed for military communities to engage the Bible, share prayer requests and join a Bible study group.
- God Understands is a series developed with the help of Veteran Affairs chaplains to provide healing, hope and comfort to veterans.
- Journey of a Military Wife is a Bible-based devotional series that helps military wives approach God’s Word in the midst of a spouse’s military service.
- RezLife is a website for teens to turn to the Bible to cope with issues including having a parent deployed or navigating through frequent moves.
Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.
