ABANDONED PERUVIAN BOY FINDS HIS HEAVENLY FATHER IN GOD’S WORD

“My Bible makes me feel like a giant!”

Children around the globe are hurting, vulnerable and abandoned.Recent reports estimate that more than 153 million children worldwide are orphans. When Bibles are placed in the hands of orphans and at-risk children, they learn that someone cares.

American Bible Society provides God’s Word to thousands of orphans and suffering children in places like Peru, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Nepal, India and Africa. Max, a Peruvian boy, is one of the suffering children whose life has been touched.

Max’s dad dropped him off at an orphanage when he was just 4 years old. The poor child cried constantly. Because he was tiny, bigger children made fun of Max.

But workers at the orphanage shared the good news with Max, and he began to follow Jesus. Max also received his very own children’s Bible!

“I received my Bible and now I’m happy,” Max says. “My life has changed since I received my Bible. It makes me feel like a giant! My Bible helps me to be better every day.”

Globally, children cry out for someone to care for them, someone to protect them, someone to love them. Through the provision of God’s Word, American Bible Society introduces many of these hurting children to a Heavenly Father who loves them and cares about their future.

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
