Bringing God’s hope to hurting children

“I feel good to have my first Bible because it is God’s Word.”

Orphans Monique* and Armanie* were born into a difficult life in the Dominican Republic. Living without your parents is bad enough, but it’s hard to imagine that life will improve when you live in a country plagued by violence and unemployment.

More than one in five Dominicans live in poverty, and Dominican children are especially vulnerable to the effects of food insecurity.

With no family to support them, few options for nutrition, and the constant dangers of living on the streets, orphans and abandoned children in the Dominican Republic, like Monique and Armanie, can quickly lose hope for a better life.

That’s why the generous support of our partners is so important — hurting kids need the love and hope found in God’s Word.

But thanks to you, Monique and Armanie, who both live in a home for abandoned children and orphans, received Bibles of their very own!

“I feel good to have my first Bible because it is God’s Word,” Monique says. “I can learn many things, like what God wants me to do and how He wants me to live.”

Armanie is also very grateful for the Bible you gave her.

“I feel happy to receive my own Bible,” Armanie says. “I can learn more about God and the Bible.”

The continued prayers and support of our financial partners ensure orphaned and abandoned children worldwide feel loved—and have hope for a brighter future. We are grateful to them for putting the Scriptures in the hands of these children so they can meet The Heavenly Father through His Word.
