CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: Spiritual Refuge for Displaced People

Suffering communities are finding hope through Bible-based trauma healing.

Suffering communities in Central African Republic found strength through God’s Word, thanks to a series of Bible-based trauma healing workshops coordinated by American Bible Society and its partners in the fall of 2016. “People shared things they had been holding on to for a long time, unable to forgive, and God gave them the freedom to let it go,” reports Trauma Healing Facilitator Cami Robbins.

Central African Republic is suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis. An estimated 385,000 people are displaced internally due to rampant disease, poverty and violence. Through support from American Bible Society’s financial partners, many of these suffering people are now discovering the healing power of God’s Word.

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
