“We can read Scripture and believe it's true, but live as if it's not real. The way we read should demonstratively be seen in what we say and do.” So said Alister McGrath at a panel discussion at the 2010 Q conference in Chicago. American Bible Society brought together a panel of theologians, preachers and authors to discuss the Bible and society at the Q conference. This year, more than 800 church and cultural leaders gathered to collaborate and explore ideas.

Other leaders for the panel discussion were Father Dempsey Rosales-Acosta, Timothy Keller and Brian McLaren. Dr. McGrath reminded leaders to apply the Scriptures to themselves before bringing them to the public square.
