Gulf migrant workers turn to God

Helping share God’s promises with those in need

Like many in the Persian Gulf, the coronavirus has drastically changed the lives of approximately 1.5 million Telugu-speaking Indian migrants. These Gulf states workers are among the most vulnerable to the coronavirus and are suffering.

Seeing a great need, the Bible Society has begun distributing a new booklet in Telugu and English to help Gulf migrant workers turn to God in this hard season. Titled God’s Karuna (God’s Mercy), the booklet details the effects of sin and the promises of God’s Kingdom through the use of Bible verses.

As these migrant workers and others share the promises of God’s Kingdom with their neighbors, our financial partners will be going with them. Their generosity is providing more booklets as well as PDF and audio versions of the resource through messaging apps to more than 10,000 people already. It is hoped that thousands more will hear the Good News.

The ongoing support of friends like you will make even greater things possible to those in need of God’s great news.

Join us in praying Matthew 6:33 for migrant workers in the Gulf as they seek the promises of God’s Kingdom for the first time.

“Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.” (GNT)

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
