Ten-year-old Angelique was so excited to receive a Bible that she jumped to her feet and finds it helpful to engage with God’s Word in her own language. The young girl says her Bible “will help me to live a life doing the will of God. This book will help me in my calling, and I will serve God as a pastor.”

Ngwena, another native of Rwanda, who was widowed by the atrocious genocide, embraces her Bible after an audio Bible session, declaring, “This is my new husband.”

Fortunee, another teen, says the Bible given to him “is a guide helping me to keep my relationship with God. It brings me closer to Him.”

The continued compassion and generosity of our financial partners is bringing God’s healing Words to the people of Rwanda. And through American Bible Society’s critical programs, we are focused on helping more and more people engage with God’s Word.
