In early May, ABS held its annual National Church Leaders Summit at Bible House in New York. Some 50 leaders gathered for a three-day conference that focused on increasing Christ-like character empowered by a renewed daily practice of Scripture engagement.

Summit leaders represented Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant churches; together, they wrestled with how ABS can help the whole Church develop and mobilize a contagious movement of daily Scripture engagement.

Researchers, including Willow Creek Association and the Barna Group, presented findings that regular reading and reflection on Scripture is the most effective catalyst in growing in Christ-likeness. Supporting ABS's Uncover the Word™ initiative, leaders pledged to find ways to raise up millions of new or renewed daily engagers with God's Word.
