Gwyn’s* husband passed away after just one year of marriage. Becoming a widow at such a young age was agonizing. “There were no words that could describe my pain at that time,” she recalls.

But Gwyn’s husband planted the seed of God’s Word in her heart, even though she was reluctant to trust an unseen God. Her life has been hard in the 20 years since his death. In her remote village in the highlands of central Vietnam, she can be found at 4:00 a.m. in the fields harvesting carrots with other farm workers.

When a Christian friend gave Gwyn a new Bible in her Koho heart language, she began to understand who God is as well as her need for forgiveness. Finally, she surrendered her life to Jesus.

Gwyn shares, “I thank God because of His grace!” She recently received a Koho audio Bible, which she carries in her backpack so she can listen to God’s Word in the field. Her fellow laborers are also learning about Jesus by listening with her.
