“The Bible helps me to know about God.”
Planting seeds of the Gospel in Cambodia
In her 13 years, Mina* had learned very little about life outside her family and her small ethnic group in Cambodia. She was born to the Kreung, a tribe of poor farmers who also fish and hunt to survive.
Her people frequently move around and live in temporary housing — often bamboo huts — without electricity or easy access to water. Due to their beliefs, they are dependent on local healers to cure illnesses and other problems.
But, thanks to the support of our generous friends, Mina learned something more . . . something that could forever change her life.
Visitors brought some very special gifts to Mina and the other children at their school — their very own Bibles!
In the Scriptures, Mina learned about God’s love and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. “The Bible helps me to know about God,” she says. As she reads the stories and grows closer to God, Mina says her life is changing.
“I feel that I have become more gentle,” she says. “My friends said that I am kind and willing to share. That is something I have rarely done before. I am happier than before. I want to become a good person.”
This is the type of life-changing impact our financial partners are making as they plant seeds of the Gospel in Cambodia, and we are so grateful to them for sharing the truth of God’s Word with children and adults.
