In 2021, the loss of jobs and livelihoods brought great hardship to many people living in the Arabian Gulf. With economic struggles came physical concerns like lack of food, as well as emotional and spiritual pains.

Many believers struggle to find faith and hope in such difficult conditions. This is especially true for those who cannot afford to buy their own Bibles, no matter how much they yearn for the messages of love and peace they can find in Scripture.

“Most of the members of our church are very poor economically and spiritually,” says Pascal*,a member of a church in the Gulf.

But thanks to our generous partners, hurting people in the Arabian Gulf can find hope and healing in the Bible.

“I started reading the Bible, and my life changed completely. Now, I read it regularly and wish to finish reading the whole Bible soon,” Ismail* says. “In fact, the Bible I received was the best gift ever.”

One prisoner, Hamad*, found his connection to his faith when he received a Bible in Arabic while serving time. He began to read the Bible regularly and saw his life transformed through the gift of God’s Word. Hamad says, “I became a new man. The Word of God is able to change even the worst people, people like me.”
