3 Ways to Pray for the Venezuelan Crisis
You bring hope to the people of Venezuela through prayer and support
As the crisis in Venezuela mounts, we are urging everyone to continue praying for this nation. The economic system in the country has collapsed. The people in Venezuela face empty supermarket shelves, deadly power cuts, limited access to medicine, and wages so low they cannot survive.
Most recently, violent protests broke out near the border when the military blocked humanitarian aid from entering the country. Hundreds of people were injured and at least four people were killed.
The people of Venezuela are desperate. More than three million people have fled the country, with many more expected to follow.
Helping Venezuela
Bible Society in Venezuela is coming to the aid of those in need by providing food, water, and shelter. They are also providing spiritual support through the distribution of Scriptures and Bible-based trauma healing. Venezuelans suffering the loss of everything they once held dear are encountering Jesus’s peace and provision as Bible Society in Venezuela shows love in action.
What can you do to help?
Pray
You can be a part of God’s rescue plan for Venezuela through your prayers. Your prayers move the heart of God. The Bible says in Psalm 107:28, “You were in serious trouble, but you prayed to the Lord, and he rescued you.”
- The People of Venezuela. Pray that Jesus will bring peace to every person and meet every physical and spiritual need. Pray for their strength, safety, and security.
- The Government. Pray for borders to open so that food, water, and medical supplies can come in. Pray that God will bring about solutions that stimulate economic growth.
- Bible Society in Venezuela and local churches. Pray for their strength, protection, and endurance to continue providing spiritual and physical support to local communities.
Give
You can provide the hope of God’s Word along with other relief materials to those who are suffering from the economic collapse in Venezuela. Will you help the people of Venezuela experience God’s love in action?
