When God speaks, things happen. His words have intentionality. He tells us this in Isaiah 55:11, “That’s how it is with my words. They don’t return to me without doing everything I send them to do.”

Time and time again we see this in Scripture. When God says he’s going to do something, he does! There is power in his words. And not only that, there is power when we speak his word.

Bible 2020 App

To encourage individuals in their daily lives to speak the words of God, the Scottish Bible Society created Bible 2020 for this historic Year of the Bible. This app gives users a way to not just read the Bible every day, but to speak it aloud and share the Word with a global community.

The Bible 2020 app engages users in God’s Word using three simple steps:

• Each user can choose from 1,500 language versions and translations.
• Then using a selfie cam, they film themselves reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
• Finally, they upload the video to a global video wall. The video wall links over 15,000 people in more than 100 countries reading aloud the same passage in the same 24-hour period throughout the year.
