American Bible Society Welcomes Cheryl Gardner as Executive Director of Philanthropy, Translation
Cheryl Gardner joins American Bible Society as Executive Director of Philanthropy, Bible Translation. Her passion is in supporting nonprofit organizations working to provide access to God’s Word to people around the world. For more than 25 years, she has traveled globally and worked extensively to help ministries equip pastors, translate the Bible and provide Scripture, share the Gospel among least-reached people groups, advocate for human rights and religious freedom, and smuggle Bibles to persecuted believers.
Cheryl has served as Director of Foundations and Strategic Partnerships for Operation Mobilization (OM); Interim President of CASA 50+ Network; Vice President of Resource Development for Biblica – International Bible Society; and Director of Government Affairs and Public Relations at Open Doors with Brother Andrew. Most recently, she served as Chief Philanthropy Officer of the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center.
In 2010 Cheryl launched her consulting firm, Cheryl Gardner & Associates, which helps nonprofit organizations develop funding and build infrastructure to support their mission. Clients include Communication Institute/European Leadership Forum, Scriptures in Use (SIU), CASA 50+ Network, and Operation Mobilization (OM).
Cheryl serves on the Board of Directors of Christian Community Credit Union as Chair of the Supervisory Committee. She is married to Randy Gardner, Pastor of Adults 50+ and Care Ministry at Purpose Church in Pomona, California. They live in Upland, California. She enjoys cycling with her husband, traveling, and cooking.
