Craig Shaver Named Principal Gifts Advisor for Armed Services Ministry
American Bible Society Welcomes Craig Shaver to Inspire Philanthropy for Armed Services Ministry
American Bible Society extends a warm welcome to Craig Shaver, who brings 17 years of nonprofit development experience to his new role as Principal Gifts Advisor for Armed Services Ministry.
“Craig grew up in a Military family. His personal experience of the unique challenges our Military families face, combined with his impressive professional accomplishments, make him the perfect fit for this vital position,” says Chaplain (Colonel) US Army, Retired, James J. Puchy, who serves as the VP of Ministry Services at American Bible Society. “We’re thrilled to add Craig to our team and look forward to seeing how his love for the Military and his commitment to the Gospel blend into his new role in the Armed Services Ministry.”
Before joining American Bible Society, Craig served as the Chief Development Officer for Seed Company, a Bible translation ministry focused on accelerating Bible translation efforts around the world. Previously, he served in advancement roles at both the University of Texas-Arlington and Southern Methodist University. He specializes in principal gift fundraising and has extensive nonprofit and business experience.
The son of a Navy pilot, Craig grew up with a deep respect for the Armed Forces. His great passion is to bring the saving knowledge of Jesus to those who haven’t had the opportunity to hear the Good News.
Craig and his wife, Melissa, live in McKinney, Texas, with their three children. His favorite pastimes include spending time with immediate and extended family and enjoying a variety of sports.
