Letters from Paul Episode 2: Romans 12:9-18
This video series invites you to explore the letters of the apostle Paul
Ask God to bless those who persecute you—yes, ask him to bless, not to curse.
Romans 12:14 GNT
In this second episode of the Letters from Paul series from American Bible Society, you’ll explore Romans 12:9-18.
This famous passage from Paul’s letter encourages readers to love one another sincerely, serve God faithfully, and pray continuously. However, it also contains instructions that probably surprised some of Paul’s Roman audience. Ask God to bless your enemies? Not seek revenge when someone sins against you? Showing love to everyone?
Without God, treating our enemies in a loving way would be impossible. But Jesus changed that by dying for us while we were still God’s enemies (Romans 5:10). Now, we can receive salvation and be transformed through God’s Word and the Holy Spirit.
Watch and be inspired by Paul’s advice on how to live a Christian life.
