Trauma in America: New Report and Workshop
As the Covid-19 pandemic spreads across the globe, we are all experiencing various levels of uncertainty and upheaval. The pandemic has also brought to light the severe impact that trauma can have on our lives. These painful experiences can cause deep and lasting suffering and can affect every part of a person: mind, body and spirit. People are left longing for healing, comfort and joy and in the midst of the pain don’t know where to turn.
At American Bible Society, we believe that the Church can be the source of hope and healing that millions of people here in the U.S. are desperate for. Before resources, tools and training can be deployed to help address these critical spiritual and emotional needs, we need to first fully understand and grapple with the issue at hand.
That is why American Bible Society has partnered with Barna Group to conduct new research on Trauma in America. The new data-driven report is available now at traumainamerica.bible. In the downloadable report, you’ll discover:
- The most common forms of trauma people are facing
- How people cope with trauma and what symptoms they experience
- What churches can do to love and serve trauma victims
- How relationships with God develop through difficult seasons
- What pastors can do to prepare for ministering to people after traumatic events
Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.
