Many people are attracted to American Bible Society’s Charitable Gift Annuities because of the rates we offer. Currently, our rates remain the same as the 2011 rate schedule from the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA), which we have re-adopted for each subsequent year thereafter, having obtained approval from the state regulators. When determining these rates, we are subject to the rules and regulations of each individual state and keep aligned with the criteria they set forth.

The Internal Revenue Service’s Life Expectancy Chart (Publication 590) is used to aid in determining rate schedules. Our Charitable Gift Annuities have a minimum age requirement of 55 for a single life agreement. For a two-life agreement, both annuitants must be a minimum of age 55, and both ages are taken into consideration when determining the payout rate.
