Keep Praying! God is Healing Trauma in Rwanda

Audio trauma healing helps genocide survivors experience peace as they hear God’s Word

Thank you for praying for Rwanda’s genocide survivors to experience God’s peace through the Bible-based trauma healing ministry. Trauma healing ministry uses the power of Scripture to help hurting people heal from their trauma. And there has been a lot of trauma in Rwanda.

In 1994, Rwanda experienced one of the most horrific events in human history. Increasing ethnic tension between the majority Hutus and the minority Tutsis, sparked 100 days of bloodshed. This resulted in more than 800,000 murdered Rwandans.

Many survivors of the Rwandan genocide are still suffering from the wounds of trauma. And the trauma has been passed down through generations.

But God is at work! Because of your faithful prayers the people of Rwanda are being healed from their trauma. God’s Word is restoring lives.

Audio Trauma Healing

Since 2012, the Bible Society of Rwanda has brought Bible-based trauma healing to thousands of Rwandans. Right now, they are working to bring this ministry to even more trauma survivors in their country through audio trauma healing. Through this program, Bible-based trauma healing lessons from God’s Word are broadcast over the radio. Rwandans can listen to the program from their homes or their cars, anywhere they can find a radio signal.

The goal is to air 13 Bible-based trauma healing programs across 4 radio stations, reaching a total of 1.8 million Rwandans!

But that’s not all. Listeners can call into each radio station and receive more information about joining a local trauma healing group. In these groups, survivors listen to stories of pain, connect their experience to the trust of God’s Word, learn to tell their story, and bring their trauma to the foot of the cross.

We are praying for more Rwandans to experience God’s comfort. Will you join us in praying for God to speak to Rwandan genocide survivors who struggle to find peace after the violence they witnessed and suffered through?

Let’s Pray Together:

God, we give you praise for healing the wounds of war and loss suffered by thousands of Rwandans. We pray for your Word to bring peace and comfort to those who listen to the audio trauma healing program. We also pray for healing across this nation.
