3 Resources to Help Our Military Find Strength in Faith
Pray for military communities to encounter the peace found in God’s Word
Life in and after the military can be challenging. Those in military communities can struggle with emotional and spiritual injuries as a result of work stress, multiple relocations, isolation from family and friends, and long deployments. But God’s Word offers peace and hope for all those living this unique lifestyle and enduring its challenges.
Over the past 200 years, American Bible Society’s Armed Services Ministry has provided more than 60 million free Bible resources to our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families. Our hope is that through these Scripture-based resources military communities will enjoy a deeper connection with God and experience his presence and peace.
Helping Military Communities
One of the most important things we can do for our nation’s military is to provide them with Scripture engagement resources that speak to them right where they are. These military-specific resources are designed to meet a variety of spiritual needs. Here are three featured resources:
- Military Bible Reading Challenge. This is an online 75-day military Bible reading challenge to establish daily Bible reading and engagement habits.
- God Understands Video Experience. This online video experience has eight different reading studies tackling the sacrifice of military service.
- Journey of a Military Wife. This online experience gathers military wives in community to share common experiences and equip one another with valuable Biblical truths.
We pray that these resources will be instrumental in bringing the transformative power of God’s Word to 13 military communities around the U.S. resulting in 1.3 million engaged Bible readers every year. Will you join us?
Let’s Prayer Together
Father, we thank you for protecting all those who serve on the front lines to keep us safe. We pray for service members, veterans, and their families to experience the peace and joy found in your Word. We also pray for wisdom on how to further expand these resources and programs to meet the spiritual needs of military communities.
