We’ve all been there. The place of overwhelming despair, anxiety, or stress. All hope seems lost. Then God speaks.

One of the ways God speaks is through his Word. God’s Word offers reassurance and hope. Through Scripture, God reminds us that he is near (Psalm 34:18), he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7) and he has the power to rescue us (Psalm 34:6).

And not only can God’s Word save us during present situations, but his Word can also bring us to faith and eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.

That’s why American Bible Society just released the 2023 Daily Bible Reading Guide. We believe that daily, consistent interaction with the Bible is crucial to nurture a relationship with God. In our latest State of the Bible report, we learn that when people read the Bible and apply its message, it brings them hope and introduces them to full life in Christ.

This year’s theme for the guide is “God’s Saving Word.” Available in both English and Spanish, this guide provides Scripture readings for every day of the year. You may also subscribe to the Daily Bible Reading, which provides background information on each day’s Scripture passage, key verses for meditation, reflection questions to help you dive deeper into Scripture, and prayers to help you connect to God.
