In April 2023, the Digital Bible Library (DBL) reached an incredible total of 3,281 Bible texts in 2,000 languages. Thanks to God’s infinite grace, dedicated ministry partners, and your faithful prayers, now more than 6 billion people can access God’s Word in their heart language.

What is the Digital Bible Library?

The Digital Bible Library is the world’s largest digital library for the Bible. It is a single repository for Bible translations in thousands of languages and formats including text, audio, video, Braille, and sign language.

Developed and maintained by United Bible Societies, a world-wide network of Bible Societies operating in over 240 countries and territories, the DBL was created to help get God’s Word to everyone waiting to experience it in the language they speak every day. These Bible texts are then accessed on mobile phones, computers, and tablets through the YouVersion Bible App and other popular apps.

How You Can Pray

Praise God that the DBL has made it possible for billions of people to have God’s Word at their fingertips in their heart language.

But for millions of people around the world, they have not heard God speak through his Word because it does not exist in their language.

• Pray that the Digital Bible Library will continue to fuel engagement with God’s Word. Pray for the team working to maintain and update the DBL that God will grant them wisdom.
• Pray that Bible translation projects will be completed and that those translations will be shared on the Digital Bible Library so they can be distributed through YouVersion and other Bible apps.
• Pray that as people read God’s Word in their heart language, for the first that their lives, they will be transformed by its message of hope and love.
