The Prayer Snapshot: “Praying the Bible for Those Who are Hurting”
In this episode we pray guided by Psalm 18 for people experiencing trauma
We all know someone who is hurting physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Maybe they have suffered abuse, lost a loved one to COVID-19, or are struggling with addiction, sickness, or depression.
One way to support someone experiencing trauma is through prayer. When you pray for them, guided by God’s Word, you are agreeing with the truths in Scripture, truths like – God is our healer (Exodus 15:26), God is near when we hurt (Psalm 34:18), and God is able to defend us (Psalm 55:22). Praying the Bible is a powerful way to cling to hope in difficult circumstances.
In this episode of the Prayer Snapshot, we pray that God would heal and restore those who are hurting. We pray that they would feel God’s nearness in their suffering and find hope and strength in him. To pray with us, click below.
