The Prayer Snapshot: “The Battle For Your Mind”
In episode 10 we discuss how God’s Word can be a powerful tool to combat anxiety
Did you know that negative thinking can harm your brain? According to a new study by researchers at University College London, repetitive negative thinking is linked to cognitive decline, a higher number of harmful protein deposits in the brain, and consequently a greater risk of dementia.
Paul in the Bible understood how important our thoughts can be. That’s why he offers the following encouragement in Philippians 4:8 (CEV) he says, “Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don’t ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.”
In this episode of the Prayer Snapshot, the Prayer Team at American Bible Society discusses how God’s Word can help us have a positive outlook on the difficult things we experience. We discuss the power of God’s Word to reject anxiety, worry, and fear and to embrace the hope found in God’s Word.
