Urgent: Pray as Hurricane Ian Makes Landfall in Florida

Join us as we ask God to intervene and protect all those in the path of this storm

As Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 storm, reaches Florida’s coast, we invite you to pray with us for the safety of people in the hurricane’s path.

Hurricane Ian already passed through Cuba, leaving at least two people dead and much of the island without power. Now, Floridians are bracing for life-threatening storm surges, wind, and flooding. The Bible reminds us that “God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble” (Psalm 46:1 GNT).

Would you join us in praying now for God to protect every person who will feel the effects of this storm?

Let’s Pray Together

Almighty God, we ask you to protect all those in Hurricane Ian’s path. Shelter them under your wings. Lord, like you did in the Bible, we pray that you will calm the storm—cause the winds to die down and the flood waters to be held back. We pray that this storm will not devastate homes and communities. Lord, grant your strength, courage, and resolve to those affected so they can ride out the storm. Protect emergency responders as they selflessly put themselves in harm’s way to help others.

God, may the words in Isaiah 43:2-3 (GNT) provide us with confidence and peace today:

When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the LORD your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you.
