Your Prayers are Helping to Bring God’s Word to People Around the World

“Never stop praying, especially for others.” (Ephesians 6:18 CEV)

You are changing lives through your prayers.

Each prayer, whether uttered in silence or shared in the company of others, is bringing God’s message of love to those who need it.

Just read the amazing ways that Bible ministry took place this past year because of God’s extravagant grace and your generous prayers. Because you prayed, God’s Word is reaching:

  • Emakhuwa Speakers in Mozambique. More than 5 million Makhuwa people have access to God’s Word in their heart language of Emakhuwa. Now they can understand the whole Bible for the first time in their history. To watch the Makhuwa people dancing for joy as they receive God’s Word, check out this video.
  • Little Children in Nepal. Little children in Nepal received colorful children’s Bibles and other Scripture materials that teach them about the love of Jesus. Now they love reading God’s Word every day and are discovering how important they are in God’s eyes.
  • The Deaf Community in Peru. This group of marginalized people have stories about Jesus from the Gospel of Luke in their heart language. Now an often overlooked community of almost 100,000 people are learning about Jesus’s love for them.
  • Church Leaders in Ethiopia. The translation of the Bible in Ge‘ez, an ancient Ethiopian language used in historic Christian texts and modern church services, was completed and distributed. Now church leaders can share God’s Word with their people in their native language.
  • Suffering Children in Latin America. Church leaders in Colombia are using Bible-based trauma healing ministry to care for Venezuelan refugees. Now children who have fled the violence in their homeland are being greeted by the healing message of God’s love.
  • New Christians in Hostile Countries. New believers are getting baptized in Muslim-majority countries after hearing the gospel proclaimed in audio Bible listening groups. Now, these believers can be strengthened in their faith as they listen to God’s Word.
  • Blind Believers in East Africa. The publication of the full Braille Bible in Swahili was completed. Now people with visual disabilities can experience Jesus in a format that speaks to their heart.

Pray Without Ceasing

Thank you for being such a faithful intercessor. Thank you for praying that every person on earth will have an opportunity to experience God’s Word in their heart language. Thank you for praying for trauma survivors to encounter God’s healing in Scripture. And thank you for praying for our nation to be transformed through the power of God’s Word.

Your prayers are making a difference!

But we can’t stop praying now. There are still people who need to hear the gospel. Join us as we continue to pray that everyone will discover God’s love for them through his Word.

Almighty God, we give you praise for hearing our prayers and for enabling American Bible Society and its global partners to share God’s Word in our nation and nations around the world. Continue to grant them your wisdom, strength, resources, and Holy Spirit in this enduring work. Lord, we pray that your Word will reach every heart. May it bring freedom, joy, and peace. We pray that every person on earth will embrace Scripture’s message of salvation and hope. In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.
