The Prayer Snapshot: “Praying the Bible for Your Nation”
In this episode we pray for our nation and its governing authorities, guided by Proverbs
We need to pray for our nation. First, because God’s Word urges us to do so (1 Timothy 2:1-2) and second, because praying for our nation can bring healing. Many nations are hurting and are in deep need of God’s healing. They need God’s intervention to restore broken systems, communities, and lives devastated by the darkness of sin. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (CEV), “If my own people will humbly pray and turn back to me and stop sinning, then I will answer them from heaven. I will forgive them and make their land fertile once again.” Our prayers invite God to forgive our sin and heal our land.
In this episode of the Prayer Snapshot, we use selected passages from the book of Proverbs to guide our prayers for our nation. Join us as we pray for God to carry out his purposes and plans for each of our nations.
