This Veterans Day, Honor a Veteran by Praying for Them

Join us as we pray that every Veteran will feel God’s love, peace, and comfort

Want to honor our nation’s Veterans? One way to honor the brave men and women who have risked their lives for our freedoms is to pray for them. Prayer is also a way to remember, thank, and care for Veterans. So, we invite you to join us this Veterans Day as we pray for our brave heroes.

Let’s Pray Together

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the more than 18 million Veterans who have fought to serve and protect our nation. We pray that they feel honored and appreciated by their fellow citizens and that our nation will continue to provide them care.

For those carrying the emotional scars of war, we pray that you heal them. May they find peace and comfort in your Word.

For those struggling to find meaning beyond their uniform, we pray they find their identity and purpose in Jesus Christ.

For those living with physical injury or disability from war, we pray for your strength and grace to help them navigate this challenge.

For those suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, substance abuse problems, suicidal thoughts, and any other disorders, we pray for deliverance.

For those grieving the loss of friends in service, we pray that they are comforted through the words of Scripture.

For those feeling isolated, struggling to reintegrate into life outside the Military, we pray for friends, family, and church communities to walk alongside them.

For the family members of Veterans, we pray for your guidance and encouragement so they may continue to care for their loved ones.

For those who have yet to know you, we pray for their salvation. Draw near to them and show them that you are real and that you love them more than they can imagine.

Finally, we pray these words from Ephesians 3:16-19 (GNT):

I ask God from the wealth of his glory to give you power through his Spirit to be strong in your inner selves, and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, so that you, together with all God’s people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s love. Yes, may you come to know his love—although it can never be fully known—and so be completely filled with the very nature of God.
