“RECEIVING THE BIBLE… IT’S LIKE GOD REMEMBERING US.”

You help bring God’s life-changing Word to remote tribes in Colombia.

Reaching people in the indigenous communities of the Colombian Amazon region can be very treacherous. Local Bible Society teams travel the river in small boats and must negotiate with armed guerrilla groups to access remote areas.

You can imagine how someone like Maria* could feel forgotten. As she says, “Everything is difficult here. If you want to earn money, the only thing you can do is work as a coca leaf picker.” Cocaine, derived from the leaves of the coca plant, is Colombia’s top drug export and is controlled by dangerous cartels.

Thanks to friends like you, through the Bible Society’s End-to-End ministry, the JESUS Film, audio Bibles, and printed Bibles were recently shared with hundreds of men, women, and children in the region. Maria was thrilled to watch the film and hear God’s Word in her Wayúu heart language.

She says, “Receiving the Bible . . . it’s like God remembering us. I love this Bible so much. I read it with my family to feel the peace of God in my home.” Maria also takes an audio Bible with her to neighboring communities where she shares God’s Word and invites people to accept Jesus.

Juan*, who joyfully received a Bible of his own, shares, “If I had not accepted the Lord, I would surely be dead today. In communities where there is no pastor, the Wayúu audio Bibles are like a pastor for the people.”
