For two weeks in May, more than 50 translation scholars and practitioners from all over the world convened for the 2011 Nida School of Translation Studies in Misano Adriatico, Italy. Several attendees described it as one of the most enriching experiences of their academic careers. The school was organized by ABS's Nida Institute, and this year's theme was Translation in History and Ideology. Armenian Sona Haroutyunian said, “I was very enthused by the interest that was shown for the Armenian tradition of translation.”
