Chi Zhou* and his wife Peng* have lived in a small, rural village in southern China their entire lives. For many years, the couple made their home in a mountain cave near the village.

In early 2000, Peng’s health began declining rapidly. She was told she would not live, and her family began making plans for her funeral. A neighbor visited Peng to pray for her . . . and to tell her about Jesus. As Peng heard the Gospel message for the first time, she became a believer. Within days, her health began returning, and she made a full recovery! Chi Zhou also believed, and even though the couple did not have a Bible of their own, their faith in God has not been shaken over the years.

Because of the generosity of our friends, Chi Zhou and Peng finally received the Bible they so eagerly desired. Reading God’s Word has deepened their faith, and now, their son has become a believer as well.

“We now have peace in this life because of a solid hope in Jesus,” Chi Zhou shares.We are so thankful for our friends for faithfully sharing God’s Word with those who long to know Him!
