First Ever African Study Bible Launched in Ghana

“This new Bible should not be put on shelves to gather dust.”

Thanks to a collaboration with the Bible Society of Ghana, the first ever African Study Bible launched this year. Described by a church leader as “God’s Word through African eyes,” the African Study Bible was put together by 350 contributors from 50 African countries.

“This new Bible should not be put on shelves to gather dust, but should be read to transform lives,” said the former Vice President of Ghana, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

Christianity is growing faster in Africa than in any other part of the world. As Christians grow in numbers, it’s crucial they also grow in faith and knowledge of God’s Word. And we continue to be grateful for our financial partners who will help meet the demand for more Bibles in Ghana and other parts of the world.

Please join us in praying Joshua 1:8 (GNT) for those who receive the African Study Bible: “Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
