First Scripture In Mwimbi-Muthambi Arrives In Kenya
Christians in Kenya receive Scripture in their heart language for the first time
Mwimbi-Muthambi-speaking Christians are receiving Scripture in their heart language for the first time!
Prior to the new translation, speakers of Mwimbi-Muthambi had to read the Bible in other dialects or languages. “This will help people of my age to understand the Word of God better, and we will grow spiritually,” one young believer named Blessing said.
The Bible launch was marked by a joyous ceremony attended by church leaders and people from across the country. Bible Society Coordinator Dr. Barine Kirimi — a Mwimbi-Muthambi speaker — said, “We have received the Good News of hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, at a time when the world needs it most, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
We are thankful to our generous supporters for helping make this project a reality and bring the life changing Good News to Christians in Kenya. Join us in praying Mwimbi-Muthambi speakers to grow in God’s word.
“The LORD says, ‘Let my people return to me. Remove every obstacle from their path! Build the road and make it ready!’”
Isaiah 57:14 (GNT)
