The transition from civilian life to a military environment is very difficult, and new recruits face a variety of physical and mental challenges. They endure intensive military training activities, endless drills, and tactical maneuvers. A new recruit’s mind and body are challenged like never before.

New recruits are so thankful for the specialized military Bibles our generous donors help provide. We wanted to share some of the letters and feedback we have received about these Scripture resources that help them find Jesus, strengthen their faith, and receive encouragement to endure the daily trials they face:

• Private Romano* shares, “I have never opened a Bible in my life but bootcamp is hard and I needed something. My friends suggested God, so I got a Bible, and my life is now changed forever.”
• Private Alvarez* wrote to tell us, “When I got to basic training, me and my battle buddies were looking for something to do during our personal time. So, we started a Bible group and did the Military Bible Challenge. This has changed my life. This is the first time that I read the Bible myself.”
• Private Johnson* says, “This military Bible was great. It helped me so much to get through all 10 weeks of basic combat training. Any time we marched anywhere, I took this Bible with me. I hope this Bible helps many people like it helped me.”
