Orphanages in Cameroon are home to tens of thousands of children as a result of AIDS-related deaths and a generally high mortality rate. During 2009 and for the next two years, the Bible Society of Cameroon is making colorfully-illustrated Children's Bibles available to orphans in orphanages run by Christian organizations. In 2009, children ages 2 to 5 participated in early childhood education including learning Bible stories. Children 5 and older participated in 45-minute Bible studies three days a week, as well as 20 minutes of prayer every day before school. On Saturdays, facilitators lead two-hour Bible studies that focus on God’s love and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Thanks to the support of our faithful financial partners, American Bible Society has been engaging people with the life-changing message of God’s Word for more than 200 years.

Help us share God's Word where needed most.
